Monopolar or bipolar
Monopolar electrodes need a second electrode to complete the circuit, for example a loop at the base of the penis combined with a plug. Bipolar electrodes like the ElectraStim Deep Charge probe carry both contacts on one toy and work on their own. Rubber loops adjust to any size, while metal rings give a sharper, more focused sensation. Make sure the plug type matches your unit, usually 2 mm pins.
Using and caring for electrodes
Always apply conductive gel to the contact area for an even signal and to avoid hot spots. Keep electrodes below the waist and never place them so that current crosses the chest. Switch the unit off before attaching or removing anything. Clean metal and silicone with warm soapy water or a toy cleaner and store cables loosely coiled.
Will electrodes work with any unit?
Most ElectraStim units and many others use standard 2 mm pins. Check the connector, or find an adapter among the electro units.
Which electrode is best for a first try?
Conductive loops or a simple cock ring. Internal electrodes are best once you are comfortable with regular butt plugs.
