Red Leather Whip Metal Accents, 52cm

This 52 cm whip combines black leather with silver metal details, and it looks as purposeful as it feels. The leather is vegetable-tanned in Europe, and the metal accents add weight to the tails, so each stroke lands with more thud and a sharper sound on contact. The flexible leather strands stay responsive despite that extra weight, which gives the whip a substantial, controlled feel in the hand.

Because of the metal, this is not a toy to swing at full force from the start. Begin with slow, light strokes to warm up the skin, letting the strands fall rather than throwing them. As your partner's skin reddens and relaxes, you can build up rhythm and strength. Aim for fleshy, well-padded areas such as the buttocks, the backs of the thighs and the upper back away from the spine. Avoid the kidneys, spine, neck, face, joints and genitals.

Practise your aim on a cushion or pillow first, so you know where the tips land at this length. Check in often, agree on a safeword or a traffic light system and watch for broken skin, as metal accents can mark more easily than plain leather.
