Water, silicone or hybrid
Water based lube is compatible with every toy and condom, washes off easily and is the safe default. It can dry out, so reapply or add a drop of water. Silicone lube lasts much longer and is great for anal play and in water, but avoid it with silicone toys unless the label says otherwise. Hybrid lubes combine a creamy feel with longer glide. Oil based lubes and powders suit stroking and fisting but break down latex condoms.

Can I use lube with condoms?
Water-based and silicone lubes are safe with latex condoms; avoid oil-based lubes, because oil weakens latex and can make a condom tear. With latex-free condoms, check the packaging for compatible lubes. Enough lube also reduces friction, which is a common reason for condoms to break.
Which lube is best for toys?

How much lube should I use?
