Cuffs & Restraints
Bondage cuffs and restraints hold the wrists, ankles, arms or thighs in place so one partner gives up control and the other takes it. They are the starting point of almost every bondage scene, from quick velcro cuffs for a first try to padded leather and suspension cuffs for experienced players.

We stock more than 180 cuffs and restraints from €4.95 to over €1,000. Ouch! by Shots covers most of the range, Red Leather makes the heavy leather and suspension pieces, and Doc Johnson, XR Brands, Steel by Shots and Prowler Red add tactical, neoprene and metal restraints.
Types of restraints
Velcro cuffs: quick to close and to release, the best first restraint, such as the Ouch! Adjustable Velcro Wrist Restraints (€7.95) or the Velcro Wrist and Ankle Cuffs (€12.95).
Fluffy and metal handcuffs: playful and recognisable, such as Ouch! Beginner's Furry Handcuffs (€9.95) or Shots Toys Metal Handcuffs (€8.95). Metal cuffs are hard on the wrist, so keep sessions short.
Leather cuffs: padded, comfortable for long scenes and strong enough to connect. From Ouch! bonded leather in the Florence, Venice and Milan collections (€24.95 to €27.95) to Red Leather Ultra Handcuffs with 6 cm wide straps (€49.95).
Hogties: connect wrist and ankle cuffs behind the back, from the Ouch! Denim Hogtie (€7.95) and Halo Hogtie Connector (€18.95) to the Doc Johnson Tactical Hogtie with steel D-rings (€55.95).
Bed and door restraints: the Ouch! Bed Bindings Restraint Kit (€32.95), Bed Post Bondage Restraint Kit (€34.95) and the XR Brands Lover's Bed Restraint System with under-bed straps (€54.95).
Arm, thigh and body restraints: Red Leather Arm and Forearm Restraints (€84.95), Thigh and Ankle Leg Restraints (€89.95), the Ouch! Thigh and Ankle Cuff Positioning Set and Full Body Bondage Restraint Belts.
Suspension: Red Leather Suspension Handcuffs (from €69.95) and the Steel by Shots True Bondage Hook are built to carry body weight and are for experienced riggers only.
Choosing material and fit
Velcro and soft silicone cuffs are best to start; leather spreads pressure over a wider band and holds buckles and locks; metal looks strict but presses more. A cuff should be snug enough not to slip over the hand, with room for one finger between cuff and skin. Check the adjustable range on each product page.
Safe use
Agree a safeword and a non-verbal signal before you begin. Check hands and feet regularly for cold, tingling, numbness or colour change and release immediately if they appear. Never leave a restrained person alone, never put weight on cuffs not made for suspension, and keep safety scissors or the key within reach. Wipe leather with a damp cloth and let it air dry; wash velcro and fabric cuffs by hand.
Cuffs combine well with a spreader bar, rope or bondage tape and a blindfold.
Frequently asked questions
Which bondage cuffs are best for beginners?
Velcro or padded cuffs with a quick release. They are comfortable, adjustable and open in a second if needed.
Leather or velcro cuffs?
Velcro is quick, cheap and easy to release. Leather is stronger, more comfortable for longer scenes and can be locked, at a higher price.
How tight should bondage cuffs be?
Snug enough not to slip over the hand, with room for one finger between cuff and skin. Loosen at once at tingling, numbness or cold fingers.
What is a hogtie?
A connector that joins wrist and ankle cuffs behind the back. Keep hogtie scenes short and check circulation and breathing often.
How can I tie someone to a bed without bedposts?
Use an under-bed restraint system: straps run under the mattress with a cuff at each corner, so any bed works.
Are metal handcuffs safe for bondage?
For short, playful scenes, yes, ideally with a fluffy lining. For longer bondage, padded leather or velcro cuffs are safer and more comfortable.
