Floggers

A flogger spreads its strikes over many tails, so you can go from a soft caress to a firm, rhythmic thud. Prowler Red offers braided and suede floggers in real leather, Ouch! adds elegant designs with wooden handles and gold details, and XR Brands has a compact faux leather mini that suits beginners. A versatile choice for warming up and for longer impact scenes.

Tails, material and weight

Wide, soft tails in suede give a broad, thuddy feeling and are the most forgiving. Thin or braided leather tails concentrate the energy and sting more. Faux leather and PU floggers are lighter, vegan friendly and easy to wipe clean. A compact flogger is easier to aim in a small bedroom, while longer models such as the Prowler Red braided flogger need more room to swing.

Technique and safety

Practise on a pillow first so you learn where the tails land. Target the buttocks, thighs and the upper back on either side of the spine, and keep away from the neck, kidneys and joints. Start slowly, read your partner and check in. Tails can wrap around the body and catch sensitive areas, so stand at the right distance. Brush suede, condition leather and let it air dry.

Is a flogger good for beginners?

Yes, a soft suede or PU flogger is one of the gentlest impact toys. Pair it with cuffs for a classic scene.

What is the difference between a flogger and a whip?

A flogger has many tails and spreads the force, while whips and crops focus it on a smaller spot. For a broad thud, also try a paddle.
